The Spiegelau IPA glass has a new and unique design, created to withstand the complex and volatile aromas of IPA-style beers. The glass has been developed in collaboration with two of the leading IPA brewers in the United States, Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head and Ken Grossman from Sierra Nevada.
Achieved through a series of design and tasting workshops examining hundreds of possible designs, the brewers ultimately and unanimously chose, by secret ballot, a glass “number 6” from a definitive poster. of eight custom-made prototypes.
Designed to showcase the complex and attractive aromatic profiles of Latin “leap forward” IPA beers, preserve a frothy head, enhance flavor and mouthfeel, and present a comfortable wide opening for the drinker to savor each beer, the latest Spiegelau´s design is the way, a container to enjoy IPA.
Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada are the champions of hop cultivation in the US Breweries, they are donating their share of the proceeds of this collaboration to benefit advancements in hop research.
